It also provides network hardware to maintenance companies, ISP's, systems integrators, distributors, resellers and partners globally. It has established a distinguished group of IT Partners who enables to meet the supply and demand for network hardware.

Network Router

picture

A router is a networking device whose software and hardware are usually tailored to the tasks of routing packets and forwarding information over the network. For example, on the Internet, information is directed to various paths by routers.

Routers connect two or more logical networks which do not necessarily map one-to-one to the physical interfaces of the router. It is also often referred to as a 'layer 3 switch'.

Network Switch

picture

A network switch is a computer networking device that connects network segments and different network devices.

These switches operate at the Layer 2 of OSI reference model and hence a pure switch will only forward the packets and would not route them unlike a router.

The term network switch does not generally encompass unintelligent or passive network devices such as hubs and repeaters.

Firewall

picture

A firewall is a part of a computer system or network that is designed to block unauthorized access while permitting authorized communications. It is a device or set of devices configured to permit, deny, encrypt, decrypt, or proxy all (in and out) computer traffic between different security domains based upon a set of rules and other criteria.

Firewalls can be implemented in either hardware or software, or a combination of both. Firewalls are frequently used to prevent unauthorized Internet users from accessing private networks connected to the Internet, especially intranets. All messages entering or leaving the intranet pass through the firewall, which examines each message and blocks those that do not meet the specified security criteria.

EPABX

picture

A private branch exchange (PBX) is a telephone exchange that serves a particular business or office, as opposed to one that a common or telephone company operates for many businesses or for the general public. PBXs are also referred to as:

* PABX - private automatic branch exchange
* EPABX - electronic private automatic branch exchange

PBXs make connections among the internal telephones of a private organization — usually a business — and also connect them to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) via trunk lines. Because they incorporate telephones, fax machines, modems, and more, the general term "extension" is used to refer to any end point on the branch.

PBXs are differentiated from "key systems" in that users of key systems manually select their own outgoing lines, while PBXs select the outgoing line automatically. Hybrid systems combine features of both.

Modem

picture

Modem (from modulator-demodulator) is a device that modulates an analog carrier signal to encode digital information, and also demodulates such a carrier signal to decode the transmitted information. The objective is to produce a signal that can be transmitted easily and decoded to reproduce the original digital data. Modems can be used over any means of transmitting analog signals, from driven diodes to radio.
